Smile New Cruiser!

Howdy from Texas! After 3.5 years with our first travel trailer, we are making the jump to a Cruiser 35SS fiver. We are really excited as we await delivery. Similar to a previous thread, where the dealer disclosed some roof issues prior to delivery, we made the deal on one of these, only to have the dealer "lot guy" damage the pin box that's welded to the nose frame. Sensing a "never plumb straight again" potential, we decided to kill the deal, but Jeff at Crossroads had #74 of 75 on the factory lot. So instead of a show display with a damaged pin box, we hope they can get it down here in pristine condition. The weather between Indiana and Texas is pretty ugly, so DRIVE CAREFUL! I found the PDI checklist from the other thread, so we have a reference to go by. Looking forward to the owners' forum, and hopefully, nothing but good reports.

Congratulations! Take your time with that PDI. The dealer can often correct a lot of what you find on the spot, saving you time and fuel money dragging it back later. Hope you have many years of happy camping in it.

Good luck with your new Cruiser. Hope you enjoy your Cruiser as much as we enjoy ours. Also, welcome to the forum; a good place for help and advice.

Congratulations on the new Cruiser! Lots of great people here to help with questions and most of us have already made a few modifications and upgrades. I hope they get it there in one piece.

Welcome to the forum. I think you made a wise choice...especially if the price remained the same.

Congrats, we have been happy with our 2013 Crusier Aire 30footer. We have put on 20k since we purchased it last May. We had to work out a few bugs, but all and all we have been happy. Getting ready to head out this summer again.

Congratulations and welcome to the Forum. Good decision not to take a unit that had been damaged.

Congrats!!! There are few things to consider before hauling it home. Look at the bed construction - (lift it up) many have had problems with it sagging due to very light construction. You may want to insist on the dealer installing (or at least giving you a great deal) on a Voltage Surge Protector. It has been said - TAKE YOUR TIME with the walk-through. Open/Close (doors, awnings, baggage compartment etc), turn on turn off lights, taps, shower, TV, radio, microwave, etc. Check the finish very carefully, look for blemishes, bubbles etc - it's your rig - I expect like most of us - you will be a little fussy over how it performs and looks...... Last but not least - ENJOY!!!!

Jagsix,

That sounds awfully familiar...... We just took delivery on our new 35SS last Friday. They had two but one was damaged by a forklift. Luckily, we got the other one.
