Hi, we just bought our first Redwood today a 2018 Crossroads 3881es. Was bought from a wholesaler up here in Ontario Canada. Has a some repaired body damage on the left side around the wheels, I'm figuring from a blow out possibly. The price was right so I can look past the repaired panel that's missing the paint match. here's some pics.

Welcome from North Texas - as you travel you'll see other "not quite perfect" RVs out there from blowouts and other incidents. And to make you feel better, there's even a Facebook page called "RV Fails" that show just how bad things can get!!

Enjoy the road - and safe travels!!

Thanks all. My old trailer was a Plain Jane Coachman 27 footer so this is a massive jump for me.

Nice rig. Can you put your signature on your page with year, model. It will help with any other questions.

This is how to add a signature to your posts:

Near the top of the page in the black bar on the left, you will see--UserCP
Click on that. It's your control panel.
Scroll down a little and on the left side you will see-- Edit Signature.
Click on that and type in what you want for your signature

Please Remember to go to the bottom of the page and click on Save Signature.

Have you had any misgivings yet that you didn't get a 3500 DRW?

No not at all. A dually is just not practicle as a daily driver.
I tow a 21,000 lb triaxle dump trailer bumper pull with this truck pulling it with 7 ton of gravel in it maxing the truck out at 18500 bumper weight.
A fifth wheel is much more stable.
important to keep all your brakes in order, trailer and truck.
People don't realize the weight rating is what is required to stop safely.
My engine and transmission will pull 30,000 lbs as same in 3500.
It has smaller brakes and axle thats it.
My payload with this trailer is 2700 lb tongue weight. My truck is rated for 3700 payload so my axles are safe.
I would not get a ticket towing this trailer.

I may upgrade to a srw 3500 as my next truck . Again for parking in town is just not practicle with a dually.
