My husband (Denali769) and I are long time campers (tent) but just recently purchased our first travel trailer, 2018 Sunset Trail 289QB, and are so excited! Literally the day after we purchased we got a foot of snow so to say we are looking forward to camping season is an understatement. I can see from the threads that this forum will be a great resource for us.
I've already started looking for what I need to stock the trailer with, organization ideas, etc....to make it feel "home-y". Any suggestions or helpful tips would be wonderful.
The bunk dimensions don't seem to jive with the sheets I've found available online, should I just use regular twin size sheets and tuck them under?
The regular queen size mattress feels awfully uncomfortable, any good suggestions on a replacement? I was looking at a Zinas 10" memory foam mattress that weighs 50lbs. Will the bed struts still be able to hold that up?
Welcome Camping Mom! Can't answer your first questions, but in regards to the mattress, we purchased a 3" memory foam topper and everything is comfortable now. We even switched the Crossroads mattress into our new camper because we were used to it and the new one had bad reviews. You will likely get several recommendations from other members. Enjoy your new camper!
