New Owner

Hello all, my wife and I just purchased a 2008 Cruiser 31QB. We've had minimal exposure to campers, but I am notorious for my research and knowing what I'm getting into. I'm sure I'll still have some nice newbie questions, so please bear with me. I'm extremely versed in anything dealing with construction, and or automotive, but as I said, I'm just very limited on camper experience. I pick up our unit from the dealer next Saturday, and have a spot reserved that night at a local campground just a few miles from the house. I figure being 5 minutes from home but able to run it through its paces will be a good experience for myself and the family. Thanks ahead of time for the help and answers I'm sure to find here when I have my questions.

Their is a PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Checklist in the Documents section of this forum under miscellaneous. This will give you the items you should inspect prior to accepting delivery. If you find something amiss, the dealer should correct it before you take the unit, otherwise good luck getting them to do it. I don’t know if it’s the same for a pre-owned unit, but I assume they will guarantee all the appliances work and there are no structural issues. Take your time. A General PDI takes two hours. You have good experience, but excitement can sometimes make you miss something. Turn on everything, work everything, crawl under and look on roof. Welcome to the forum!

Congratulations!!

Congrats on the purchase of the 2008 Cruiser...The early 2000's were very good years for the Cruiser line...

When you go to pick your camper up at the dealer take a camcorder, or some kind of recording device, with you to record the dealers explanation of the operation of all the different items on your camper, such as the landing gear, awning, slides, and appliances...This will help you when you get the camper home...Much easier to rewind a tape, so to speak, than to have someone on this forum try to explain something to you...

PS...Also welcome to the forum...
