New to me 2015 or is it a 2016? LOL

So we just bought a (what is titled as) a 2016 Crossroads Zinger ZT31SB. Problem is NADA lists it as a 2015.....NADA lists a 2015 ZT31SB, no 2016 in that variation is available and my State Farm agent says it is a 2015, but still quoted me (as a 2016), and got me set up with insurance. My loan officer had a hard time as well. Is there a chance its a late model 2015 and got titled as a 2016 from Camping World where the original owner purchased it? Regardless, we got a great deal and just need to figure out how all the system work on the camper. Thanks, Jon

Just did a quick search and found several 2016 ZT31SB Zingers for sale. Yes it could have been built in 2015 as a 2016 model. There should be a tag on the side of the camper with the build date along with a lot of other information. Including axle information , tire size and pressure, weight and load capacity.

For sale, yep, there are several. But when the bank has to use a guide for value such as NADA or Kelley Blue Book, imagine my surprise when they have to use the 2015 MY, then my insurance agent can't quote me an estimate with it being a 2016. All those issues seemingly were overcome as it's now in my possession. I just hope its not an issue down the road with resale or an unexpected loss with insurance. The 10th digit of the VIN being a "G" designates it as a 2016, but I am nevertheless concerned when even Crossroads doesn't list a 2016 ZT31SB anywhere.

Took a little while to search old brochures but you are correct that model does not appear in a 2016 brochure only the 2015. That said - just a guess - it may have been manufactured late in 2015 and arrived on the dealers lot in 2016 and the titled as a 2016. The dealer may have just overlooked the manufacturers date.

My sister and brother in-law bought a class C motorhome and went to title it and had problems. The box/camper was manufactured/completed in 2010 but it was on a 2009 ford chassis. So they thought it was a 2010 but the license bureau said no they had to go by the chassis and it was a 2009. Long story short the dealer did offer a "rebate" because of the value of a 2009 vs a 2010. Good thing it was a mom and pop dealer.

My Cruiser was manufactured in August of 2012, bought in September of 2012, but the manufactures tag say it's a 2013

The manufacturers sticker on my Sunset Trail states manufactured on 09/10/2013. The title states it is a 2014 model.

If I remember correctly when a camper is manufactured past a certain month of any year, it is considered to be the following years model...I think the attendees of the 2014 Crossroads Rally ( of which I was one) were told that by Crossroad management personnel...I can't remember what month was the cut off date...You can call Crossroads and ask if that is true...What month was your 5th wheel manufactured..?

Like an awful lot when it comes to RV's. Nothing is as it seems.

Especially thing like warranties.

Bought a 2012 Sunset Trail in May, took it back the following April for some warranty work and was told that the manufacture would not honour the work as the trailer was over a year old.

Found out it was actually built in 2011.

Axels were off warranty as they were manufactured in 2010 therefor over 2 years old. The fact that they were bent and wore out 2 tires had nothing to do with anything . Past Warranty as they said.

Yes and there are no substantial lemon laws when it comes to RV's like there is for the automobile industry...

Mine doesn't exist according to Crossroads. Its a CAF29MK, 2014 model.
Same floor plan as a 28SE. But I have some extra space and a 3rd slide.
But up here in Canada. If it has a serial number, then it can be insured.
