Hello everyone. I have been reading the Forum for the last 6 months, and have learned a great deal from all the terriffic postings. After 35 years of tents, pop-ups , and trailers, we finally bought a fifth wheel a 30SK , in October. We have only used it a couple of weekends, but are off tomorrow to the Outer Banks of NC for a long weekend.
Hope to get more good scoop from all.

We are staying at the KOA in Hatteras. Stayed there about 4 years ago and enjoyed it.

Tom, et al,
Do NOT in campgrounds on the sound side [been there, done that]. the voice of experience says that the mosquitos [the state bird] will get you. the ocean breezes, for the most part, keep them at bay on the ocean side.

Yeah...it's an awesome place...stayed there maybe 6 ish years ago...now that my daughter is back in NC we want to go back...probably next year when the Grandson is 2, he'll really enjoy the beach. We'll be in Durham for Easter then back down in summer to help my daughter move into their new house. I'll probably have to take down my paintbrushes !
But then what are Fathers for ??????????

Well my father was really good at sitting in the lounge chair and "instructing" me on how to paint, thentelling me where I missed a spot.

I learned that any time my wife says that she would like to change a color of a room, I say, "Have a nice time! The paint brushes and rollers are in the garage." Then she calls her mother and the two of them have a grand time talking and painting. Works every time!
