Newbie

Hey folks

Just purchased a 2008 Zinger 25RKS. Pick it up tomorrow. Very excited to have a new toy. Very clean, interior looks like new, exterior has a few small cosmetic places where paint has been rubbed away from tarp/cover flapping in the wind and a few small dings and such but given that its 6 yrs old it looks very clean. Still has nubs on the tires. Can still see a painted stripe going around the spare tire (never been on the ground). Im sure I will find something with time but so far I havnt found anything wrong with it. Im sure I will get to know a few of you very soon. I will have lots of questions. I use to have a tiny little thing that looked like a marshmellow on wheels - a 14 ft Burro (kinda like a Scamp). It was OK for sleeping but to small to just hang out in. This one should be like home away from home. Never pulled anything this big though. Hopefully my 5.3 L Chevy Silverado 1/2 ton with towing package will be big enough to pull it. Came with a fancy weight distribution hitch (think thats what its called anyway).

Welcome! Should be a good unit.

Inspect those tires for sidewall cracks. They age/crack long before the tread wears out on trailers.

Congrats on the new to you Zinger. They are nice trailers (but I'm a little bias).

Yea I know about those cracks. I didnt see any. I plan to keep trailer in one of my outbuildings to keep it out of the sun/weather. Should help with the tires etc.

Congrats,

We've bought new and "barely used" trailers before. If you find a unit in good shape used a few times, you can at least bank on the initial build issues have been worked out...
