I just bought my new 2008 CF28RL, having a Reese 16K Slider beinginstalled Friday, and will pick up the trailer onMay 9th. I can't wait, First trip planned, May9th!!!! I've had tents, popups, 19, and 27 foot TT's, but this is our first 5'er. I wanted to say hi, and thanks for the great information shared on this forum. I've been lurking for some time. Hope to meet other members sometime, not sure if I'll make it to any rallies this season. If anyone is camping/lives in the SE MA area, feel free to say hi

We love ours. Pulled it all the way to Miami and back.

Problems have been surprisingly few - just keep checking the tires. We had a tread separation but caught it before it blew up.

Dang...another 5-er...just kidding. Welcome to the group. I also lurked here for quite some time before purchasing and received lots of valuable information which helped in the ordering process. Now if we could just add a few more Travel Trailers to our ranks.....

Welcome to the forum. I too went from a 30' TT to a 5er. The first 5-6 times I hitched up I must have checked the hitch a dozen times before driving off! Kinda spooky! After that it became a matter of routine. One note, my first mistake was right turns and taking them too sharp. Allow extra turning radius or you will hit curbs. Have a great trip.

Congrats and welcome to the family. If you've been lurking, hopefully you know that all you need to do is ask if you have any questions. Have a great shakedown cruise!

Well, we picked up the new Cruiser Saturday! I'm glad we had a chance to use it Saturday night. Our maiden "trip" was only an overnight 20 miles from home due to me having shoulder surgery this morning,This was probably a good thing, because our rear axle basically fell off. The dealer says they'll cover the fees of leaving it at the CG till Tuesday when they can do the repair, then they will deliver it to my house. Other than the axle problem, we love the new 5'er. Hitching up seems too easy, it scares me, I feel like I'm forgetting something. And I will be calling Randy @ Crossroads to let him about the U bolts that never got tightened properly.

Hi Chuck,
Congrats on the new 5W and welcome to the forum.
We RV 5 months every summer since 2002,moving each time to new states/provinces (take a look at my website).
This year we will start from N.B (it is where we stored the rig for the winter at the end of 2008 summer trip)and visit Maine,NH and MA.
So if you send me you cell we might get together .
Wish you many happy trails.

I hate curbs... and landscape rocks, and bushes...
