Ready to learn all I can

Hi all, I'm a sixty year young lady who plans to take off in her new (not purchased yet) fifth wheel with Jack Russell and African Grey Parrot.
I'm used to hauling a gooseneck horse trailer, so I feel comfortable with a fifth wheel.. I am looking at something less then thirty feet, and found one I love..
It's model # CAF25SE at just a bit over 28 feet It's perfect.
I want to spend time educating myself since I have a year or two before I purchase. Can someone tell me if I can buy the owners manual somewhere, or how I can learn about operating everything?

thanks so much
I look forward to being here,

There are non-unit specific owners manuals in the "documents" section that should help you some. I think that is what you get when you purchase a Crossroads unit. That's what I got. You also will get some manuals specific to systems such as heater, etc when you buy. You will learn a lot just from checking in this forum for different topics. Have fun!

Thank you Steve- I plan to read all I can! Do you know if anyone on here lives in one full time? I'm interested in hearing about any issues they have, but perhaps I'll read through these topics before I start another thread,

Appreciate it
Barbara

Go to RVTravel.com. They have daily RV tips, a weekly RV newsletter, and lots of informative videos on YouTube.

There are lots of books out there that can give you information. Some dealerships even have courses on various topics. Lazydays RV in Tampa has seminars as well as courses. Go to RV shows - they often have seminars as well. The Tampa RV show in mid-January is very good.

There is a lot to learn. Maybe hang out with RVers. You can learn from them. Rallies are a great way to meet people and learn a lot as well.

When we were at the Crossroads factory service center in the waiting room they had a very general book on RVs. If you contact them, they can tell you where to get one. It is pretty basic, but for a newbie, it is probably very good stuff to know.

I hope some of this helps.

Loanoak is right, there are a lot of books for rv'ers, some specifically for full timers. There are also blogs from people that rv full time. Some are informative and entertaining. Good luck!
