Hello all, I'm new to the forum and this is my first large travel trailer. Picking up my 2011 32qb that my wife picked out this morning at 8 am. The one thing I didn't find out about while reading through this site was how expensive all the "STUFF" for the inside is. I'll have it home today and start loading it up. I have bought better sewer hoses, waterpressure regulator, 50 to 30 ampadapter, wheelchalks, X chalk, vent pads to insulate the roof vents, and a few other needed things. Other then dishes is there anything important I should get right away other then the cover I want?

Probably the best thing you can do is open up an account at the Camping World in New Braunfels. You might want to look at a surge protector of some kind to protect all your electronics from a power spike. We are right up the road from you in Austin.

Congrats on your new addition, I just found out as well how much it costs to outfit one, best investment is Costco Pillow top for your bed. slept like a baby, wife said she slept better on it than the one at home. it was like $150.00 I think.

Welcome to the club and a great bunch of people. When we bought our new Cruiser 30SK a few months ago I spent a lot of time searching through all the threads on this forum. You'll find a world of information here and using the search function really helps ferret things out.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer. No advice on all the things you will need because it seems as though there is always something else to buy. I would talk to others and do a search regarding covers for the trailer. Crossroads doesn't recommend them and most folks here on the forum don't recommend them. My own experience with a trailer cover years ago was negative. A lot of scuffing of the roof.

Welcome to you and your new Cruiser!

We live in Westcreek and store the RV under cover at the Pioneer Home Builders' lot on Potranco. Tweedy's RV supply in Boerne, off Exit 537 of IH-10 West will beat CW every time. They have a lot of what is on the www.tweedys.comweb site in stock in their ever expanding store.

Buy a decent surge protector. We have a Surge Guard 30 amp external. It will set you back about $230 but is worth the price, especially down here in South Central TX.

Welcome. The most important thing to buy for your nrew baby is a case or a bottle of your favorite bevvy and break in the fridge. Have a great time and enjoy. This forum is great and the folks here have been very helpful.

OK thanks everyone. The X chalks are to small for the distance between my tires so they are going back. I'll pick up a surge protector from tweety's in the morning along with the adapter I so rudely found out I needed for my generator. Planed to work outside in the trailer today in cold AC but found I needed a adapter for the generator to work with my plug. Live and learn. Artgpo I live in Braun Oaks and store my rig at my shop in Helotes.

Don't forget a thermometer and fan for the fridge. I also carry a weather radio that I only use if something may blow into the area. I found a slick clock radio that projects the time on the ceiling. I've never needed them but I bought a selection of fuses for the inverter. Flashlight(s) or the new rechargeable 12v or 120v lantern Coleman makes, my DW bought one for me for Christmas. And maybe a rainsuit when you have to set up in the Monsoon, I wore my swimsuit the last time, luckily it was warm.

First thing.

Buy yourself a good air pressure gauge for the tires and use it regularly, at least once a day when traveling and once right before you leave. It is extremely important to maintain proper air pressure.

Next, teach your wife how to dump the black tank. That is traditionally the wife's job and people will make fun of you at the dump stations if they see you doing it yourself.

Have a good time!

Hey jeb my tires were filled with nitrogen from the factory. Now I have to find a place that will check and add to them since I was told they should not need any adjustments and NOT to add air to them?

The tire that doesn't occasionally need air has not been invented yet.

I'm curious though. Who told you that and did they also suggest that you not check the pressure on a regular basis? If they advised you to check the pressure regularly, why do you think they did that?

Nitrogen in trailer tires is a gimmick. Nothing more, nothing less.

See if she got the male gloves. If so, take them back and exchange them for female gloves.

..but don't tell her until it's time to dump the tanks. Most wives just love surprises! You will be cherished.

tell my DW about the black water tank and that is what i would get.
