Volante 3861BL

Hello everyone, just purchased a new 2021 Volante 3861BL, upgraded from a zinger travel trailer. Just wonder since the height of this 5th wheel states 13’6”, has anyone ran into clearance issues with bridges. I know trees are always the worst due to unknown height but was wondering about bridges. Thanks

If you can get the trailer setting on level surface/with the trailer level, you will be able to measure the height yourself.
It will require 2 people. One on the ground and one on the roof. Place a four foot level on the highest point. That would probably be the forward AC. Hold the end of the tape measure to it and have the person on the ground read it when the bubble says you have it level.
Max. height is 13ft 6in. on our road systems unless other wise stated.

I would be surprised if your unit measures that tall.
When you know for sure what you have there, please report back and let us know.

My Reflection rides roughly 2 inches nose high when hitched vs. unhitched on a level surface putting it at 13'3inches. Verified by my trusty assistant Joyce. Wanted to know how tall I was when going thru the Eisenhower Tunnel at the Continental Divide listed at 13'11inches.

Here in NY we have many bridges below 12'. I cannot find a trip planner that adequately addresses what route is safe for underpasses. Most don't do any more than use the given height posted by DOT. That often times does not address the road condition for uphill/downhill ingresses and egresses that lower the true underpass clearance based upon combined length. Here in Rochester we have tractor trailers taking out overpasses a few times a year... Your insurance company won't like what you did, and might cancel without covering you due to negligence. The driver in these situations is nearly at fault and that voids your coverage.

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum! I have a Garmin RV760 GPS that helps to keep me clear of low clearances.

Thanks for posting back.
I figured it wouldn't be 13' 6" but then again nothing should surprise us anymore when it comes what these people throw together.
