West Texas New Member - washer install tips

Hi y'all. Frank here in West Texas. I bought a Lincoln Rushmore., 2015 for me, my wife and 21 month old son.

I need to put in a 23 1/2 " washer in a 24" space.

The problem is the outlet will be flush with the washer side and the plug needs 2" clearance.

I'm thinking of cutting and recessing the outlet like the water outlet is.

Question is has anybody installed a washer in a 2015 Lincoln ( it is in the bathroom ) and tips on how you did it. My wife and I will appreciate any tips from you guys.

It might be better to add a new recepticle up higher on the wall. Locate so its easy to disconnect. Use the existing box as junction box. Run wire up the wallI might even look at surface mount outdoor boxes. In the right spot a shelf could be mounted above it to imporve the looks. Nice project.

Thanks for the reply, that is a good idea. I will see if space allows. I know she'll want the dryer soon as well.....

I willcall the pinnacle dealer and see if the dryer is not as deep as the washer. I could do the plug behind and higher like you said.
