My family is from Jamestown and when we get to the area we camp at Maple Hill. Nothing fancy just a well kept place to spend the night or week. It is about 150 miles from the location you are looking at but if traveling through the area it is a good place to stay. Robert Hatfield

Unless I'm wrong,Dandridge is close to Serverville Tn and close to Pigeon Forge Tn. There are tons of places there. There is Douglas Dan which is Corp of eng and some state parks not to very far away. The private campgrounds pack campers in close so they can get more in.But there are some that are real nice CG.

We stayed at the Jellystone in Cosby Tn. the kids loved too. The owner was great, kept a close on everything, sites where close but backup to a flowing stream which was nice.

The owner even came by when we were gone to lower our awning, before storms would come in. I would go back there again in a heart beat.

We like River Plantation in Sevierville. Reasonable price, nice facilities. A little tight together, but better than others in the area. I've seen the sign for Douglas Dam but haven't checked it out. What is it like?

The owners at Jellystone in Cosbydo a nice job, but I would not stay in their pull through sites again. They need to do some leveling and updating when consideringmid 50'sa night with a child....

I have been told Twin Rivers (same road Closer to Gatlinburg) is very nice.

I don't recall them having pull thru's.They must only have a few of them. Our sitewas tight, across from the park, backed-up tothe stream. But, I do recall how tight the roads were with trees, glad the owner helped guide us through.

I was really happy that the ownercame by and battened down the hatches when we weren't there, prior to some severe storms.Edited by: salda01
