Greg, we are in SW Georgia and as such have not camped in any of the far NE parks. We have camped in 5 different State Parks and visited several more, and I can say that all of them were well kept, clean, and had nice hiking trails. The most easterly one for us was Hard Labor SP, and I enjoyed the hiking as well as taking photos of the various dragonflies around the lake. We also went on a nature walk with a couple of the park rangers who pointed out various interesting things. You probably won't go wrong with any of the state parks in GA. We almost always camp in state parks no matter which state we are in, if at all possible.
