Copper Breaks State Park, TX

Recently spent a week up there (about 50 miles or so west of Wichita Falls) and very clean, well kept park with plenty of hiking trails. Lake level was at 50%, boat dock and swimming beach completely out of the water at this time, but I wasn't interested in swimming anyway. Choke Canyon and Palo Duro State Parks within an easy days' ride. No sewer connection at the parking spot though.

This looks like a great park to visit. All of the history and activities really made this a "must see" for us. Now to figure out the best time of year; not January or July!

Try November. We were the ONLY campers there for four of the seven day stay.
