Decks for rv

Hello all, my wife and I purchased a 29-foot Crossroads Reserve in October. this is our first camper that we have purchased. we have found a spot the season in Rhode Island. we have noticed that many people have decks. I have looked at some of the other decks and this Campground but we have not talked to anyone yet as the season is not started. my question is do I put a deck that will fit in front of both doors or just the main door that we will use by the kitchen and do I put it at the height of the trailer or do I put it on the ground what does everyone else prefer. Any pics would help. This is our Crossroads Rezerve

your awning goes over both doors , so i would at least go that big..

When it comes to decks, generally bigger is better. I would say build one that will go beyond the doors. Make sure the awning arms clear any railing you add and don't block any storage compartments.

If you don't intend to tow the trailer I'd build at door height, if planning to tow it occasionally put it low, with moveable steps if desired, so not to interfere with backing in/pulling out. The size is a personal preference depending on what room is available, what do you plan to do on it, or what your budget is.

That was my thought of what you wanted...

Instead of storing his rv at a storage lot,
a buddy who hated renting ,
bought one of those 'semi fulltime' sites at a nice rv park near a lake...
when he built his deck, he parked the rv,
dropped plumb lines to mark the ground, and built a folding section next to the rv... even painted lines on the site so he'd know where to park...

oh, he used a winch setup to fold and unfold it...
and yeah, he was anal, and a good diy'er to have as an rv buddy
