We will be traveling on I 10 from Houston to Gulfport and wanted to find a place to stop for 2 nights along the way. New Orleans is in the middle of Jazz Fest and do not want to be around that many people.

Thanks
george

George, There is a good place in Abita Springs La it is a cost to cost park currently under going renovations. Club house there are a few pull thru spots most are back in. Janet and I love the little town dates backs a long time. The town all so has its own brewery. A little bi to the west there is a Jellystone park that is ok but a little dated

Avoid the KOA in Lafayette. It is not designed for anything over 20 feet or anything with slideouts.

Cajun Palms RV Resort in Henderson, LA. Very nice CG, though a little expensive. It's approx. 1.5 miles north of I-10 exit 115 (I think). Wireless internet, cable, game room, etc. Approx. 200 yds from CG is Crawfish Town USA (restaurant); very good cajun cooking and live bands on Fri/Sat. The CG provides free shuttle(golf cart, I think) to/from restaurant. We've only stayed here once, but was very nice.

You can check out their website.
