We are planning on going to Acadia NP in June and would really like to camp in the park. I know their are 2 cgs (Blackwoods & Seawall) in the park. The NPS website says 35ft max length and 11'8" height for the rv sites. Our 5er just fits within those specs. My question is how accessible are the cgs for a rig that is close to their max size? Has anyone stayed there with a 5th wheel? Two of my concerns are how "tight" is the road through the cg and are the trees right up against the pads because we do have a living room slide? We really like staying in the national parks because I feel like we get a better feel for the park but I also want to have an idea of what I am getting into.

Any input is greatly appreciated,

Lonnie

I haven't been up there for awhile so this info may be dates (about 10 years) but the roads use to be very tight and low branches were a concern back then.

Great place to visit though.

Lonnie,

Another point of interest in that vicinity is Fort Knox and Penobscot observatory, which is down the road on Rte. 1 [google it]

Jay,

If you are asking me, I have been to both 2 years ago.

Well worth it.
