Headed for Florida. I need an over night in South Carolina. Somewhere off 77 or 26 or 95. Somewhere I can get into easy and set up quick. Just need to sleep. Late check in level pull through. Any one know a good spot?

In Fayetteville, North Carolina close to south Carolina off of I-95, Lazy Acres Campground. Stayed there a of couple nights a few years ago. Not far off of interstate, easy off -on, level sites, cleanand nice people there. Here is the linkhttp://robertclark0.tripod.com/

Feyetteville/Wade KOA is very nice, with level pull throughs.

Also, Florence KOA in Florence, SC....never stayed there, but, historically, KOA's are pretty good.

Those look like great places but I was planning on staying on I81 out of Harrisburg PA and going down through Charlotte and Columbia. Avoiding DC and Richmond.

you can avoid Wash. D.C by taking I83s from Harrisburg, to I695 around Baltimore, connecting to I97, then rte 3 connecting to rte 301 and get I95 just north of Richmond, VA.

I usually take I95 right through Richmond, with no traffic problems.

Just be careful as to what time/when you hit 695 in baltimore as rush hour is horrendous up there! (I grew up in MD and still visit my parents there).

Thanks for the advice. I can remember going both ways when I was a kid. But that was 30 years ago. Map quest only shows a 20 minute difference (home to Orlando) between taking 95 or 81 out of Harrisburg. I figured the extra 20 minutes would be made up avoiding DC. Sat in that traffic for hours coming home from Virginia beach. Now I'm not sure what to do.

I use 81 to 64 comes back to 95 just south of richmond. You miss all the traffic in DC, Balt. area. An easy drive to Fla. Iam headed that way the 1st of April From Mass.
