My family is planning a trip from central California to the grand canyon for Easter 2018. We will be at the grand canyon for 5-6 days. We are not hard-core hikers, but do love the outdoors. Will have a 2, 4, and 7 year old on the trip. Any recommendations for activities in that area?
We had fun at the Meteor Crater park, a little to the southeast. Be warned, it is EASY to climb down into it, but then you have to climb UP to get out of it! They have their own RV park. (didn't stay there, can't review that) http://meteorcrater.com/
Meteor Crater rv park is very nice for a couple nights, but not much else around. There are several rv parks in Williams & you can take a train ride to the canyon, there's a good zoo (Bear Country) & a old main street. Also,a nice KOA park,a few miles east with lots of kid activities, not sure about that early in the year, we were there mid May last year just in time for a couple blizzards.
