We are planning to head south from New Brunswick for the month of February, 2013. Anyone have any suggestions for a CG in the Wilmington, NC area. Carolina Beach Family CG seems to get an extremely poor rating from what I have been able to get off the net. I would like to hear from folks where to go and where to avoid. Thanks.

Thanks for the recommendation, but it might be a bit of a commute to Wilmington from Orlando.

Take a look at the Wilmington NC KOA campground.
We use KOA campgrounds, as a rule.
We have not stayed at this KOA, but they are usually pretty good

We stayed at the Wilmington KOA in July 2010, it was your typical KOA, all the regular amenities.

The Wilmington KOA is about the best you will find in the area. They have some really nice pull-thrus, clean laundry facilities and a good pool. It's on the north end of town and easy to get to from I-40 or US-17 and close to Wrightsville Beach plus a lot of shopping and dining options. Have family in Wilmingtonand have stayed there 5 o 6 times in the last couple of years and would definitely stay away from the one in Carolina Beach.
