We are "summer RV fulltimers" and since 2002 we are RVing each summer for 4-5 months,at the end of the trip we store the rig and collect it in the following Spring to discover new States/Provinces.
We love nature, hiking, waterfalls, history and meeting people.
This is our 2013 plan,we know where we start and we know where it will end all the rest isflexibleincluding how long we stay at each area,so go ahead and suggest "must see" along the route.
Have a great summer and see you down the road.

I am not sure where you have been so will throw out a few suggestions.Lots of history around the Midland Ontario area,Martyrs Shrine,Wye Marsh etc.
Parry Sound is another stop where you could spend some time and take day trips .Recommend the 30000 island cruise on the Island Queen maybe a boat trip to Henry's for lunch.
Several campgrounds around Parry Sound private and provincial. We have stayed at Oastler Provincial Park south of Parry Sound on old 69 highway. One of the nicest provincial parks is Killbear north of Parry Sound it has beautiful sand beaches and lots of wildlife. We are usually there in June before it gets busy and not uncommon to have deer around your campsite. This park would have to be booked in advance as it gets very busy and has limited sites to accommodate your size of trailer.
Since the development of the 4 lane highway which is now north of Parry Sound you miss all the small towns when travelling. The old highway still exists and you can travel it for a slower pace and more attractions along the way.
All of these can be googled to get more info.
Have a great trip.

Also Port Severn,Bala are sites of interest between Midland and Parry Sound.Travel info is available at exit 214 south of Parry Sound. Gas, Tim Hortons and burgers available and lots of parking. There is a travel centre at Barrie but not as easy access as exit 214,there will also be one around Midland.
Sudbury you have Science North and the big Nickel lots to see there and a side trip to North bay may be something to look into.Heading west from Sudbury You may want to look at Manitoulin Island.A mix of forest and farming areas and lots of local history.Further west the Elliot lake area.
I am sure you have these links but will post anyway.

Provincial parks www.ontarioparks.com
Private parks www.campinginontario.ca
Also KOA's but not to many north.

Fayette State Park on Michigan's UP. Old/restored ore mining town, nice RV camp, plenty of space to hike.

Dan,
It appears as though you are starting out in Toronto, heading through the UP and then into the northern part of WI. Do you have any idea of when you will be in that area? My wife and I will be back in WI the early part of August and will be at Patricia Lake CG in Minocqua, WI to be near our oldest daughter who will be camping there that week. Give me an idea of your schedule and we may be able to say "HI" at some point.

Travel well,
Jim

Hi Jim,
The ride through UP will be a "just passing by" as we have explored this areathoroughlyin the past.
I believe that we will be in theNorthern Wisconsin around Mid August.
I have thought to camp in Eagle River C.G just next to Minocqua but have no problem switching to the same park,so lets keep in touch through the net or on skype.
Regards
Danny
