We went to the Needles area about 30 miles south of Moab, Utah. Hatch Point campground is 26 miles NW of the highway. The last 10 miles or so is graveled, but the road is very good for a graveled road. No power available, and water after it warms up. We where the only ones in the camp ground and had a good time looking at rocks, canyons, and many formations!!
So many places, so little time!!!

John-

I'm jealous. It must have been sooo quiet out there as I recall. That is, if no planes were flying over. We might head that way in April. C'mon April!!

We just finished the month of Sept in Utah seeing Arches Canyonlands Bryce then on to Zion. We hiked almost all the trails except in Canyonlands as we did a jeep tour instead. I would go back in a heartbeat to do it all over again. We also did whitewater rafting on the colorado river called the westwater section which was 3&4 class rapids. Can't really say which park was my favorite since they are all unique in their own beauty. Here are pictures from my albums if you like to view them. www.picasaweb.google.com/tuscany47
