Any one notice the black and gray water drain? It's hanging VERY low, and has been bothering me since I really took notice of it. Seems even a piece of road debris may break or damageit. Wondering if there is some way to change/make it so it's not so vulnerable to breakage. Any other Rushmore owners out there, and any of the same concerns?

Yes we thought the same thing. The problem we have had was tryng to drain , not enough slope in a couple of places we camped. Have to work the drain hose up and down when that happens.. It is rather low to the ground too.

Strictly judging by the picture it looks like you have a 3" vertical ABS pipe going up to the black tank and a 11/2 or 2" horizontal pipe going to the grey tank. Can you cut out a 2-3" section of the vertical 3" ABS pipe and reconnect it with a coupling? This would raise the exit point. You would have to ensure you still have downward slope on the grey line (or cut that pipe equally).

We are shopping for a new fiver and looking closely at the Rushmore. I felt the same way. It is very glaring to me. Seems they could have done it better?? Phillip

The drains need to hang low, or you'd lack the neceesary angle. The tanks are between the rails and the drop from the bottom of the rail/bottom of the tanks to those pipes. And then you need to concider whether the trailer is level affecting the angle of the drain pipes. I've noticed after my black tank drains, after I drain the grey, I reopen the black and more sewerage comes out. I've always questioned this and assume it has to do with the weightredistribution caused by dumping the tanks. 80 gallons of grey weighs nearly 600 pounds. That black tank 300 pounds also depending on fiber content

Should there be a problem I am sure Crossroads would correct it though I'm sure a lot of engineering went into those drain pipes.

Thank you, I have addressed the issue with the powers that be at Crossroads, at the factory rally and feel that at the least they will look into the issue, noticed that after others have raised issues in past rallys, action has been taken, ie; four steps vs three at entrance ..... Thanks again for the info .
