I have a 38FL Rushmore. I just noticed today that the hinges are starting to break apart. The material that the hinges area made of are have cracked and splited into. Has anyone else have a problem with the compartments with the slam latches?

Yup! Working on my second one. CR replaced one last year, and have an appointment again this, and I will definatly add it to the list! Mine is the Slam-Latch on the left/drivers side, where hook-ups located. I suggested maybe two hydraulic lifts on that door, but .......

I'm becoming more disappointed with the Crossroads product, the longer I have it. Both latches are showing signs of tears in the metals. Thanks for the reply.

the screws in those hatch plates are too small in my opinioon. I went and got larger ones and countersunk the striker plates so the screws would fit and they are banging away without loosening.

I also have the same problem with my cargo door service side hinge, 2012 Rushmore, 38RL. Was the new door painted at the factory or did your installer have to get it panted. Looks to me that need a actuator on each side to carry the load. Has any one else have this problem?

Crossroads has replaced door two times, and finally added an additional strut, as originally suggested, and have not had a problem since, keeping fingers crossed. Paint was not needed, door was presented as the original ......

If Crossroads would just place the 2nd strut on the compartment from the beginning it would save everyone time and frustration. I love the look of my unit but it is poorly put together. Pretty to the eyes until you start to get a closer look.
