?hydraulic reservoir

we have a 2015 Rushmore Lincoln 5th wheel we have owned for 1 month. We just discovered an apparent reservoir with maybe hydraulic fluid in it located near batteries. Cannot find any info in our manuals about it. Any info would be appreciated. I am assuming it is for leveling system and/or slide. Wondering also what type fluid recommended. Thanks for any info.

Do you have disc brakes. If so, that might be what it's for.

Yes, the hydraulic system operates your main slides and the Level Up system. (Your bedroom slide is probably a separate, electrically-operated slide.)

Here is a link to the manual that will tell you everything you need to know about the system:

To check or add fluid, ALL hydraulics, in your case slides & All of the level up jacks, must be retracted then fluid should be within 1/4-1/2" from the opening & if you add 15w motorcycle fork oil to the reservoir it will help with possible popping/creaking of your jacks.
