Well two weeks in our new Jefferson. Everything is working great. The Denver bed is sweet. I did upgrade the shower head to a Moen with a extension. DW still sorting things out. Its really quite inside. Being in a RV park there are alot of diesel trucks running around. Can barely hear them now. Really enjoying the double slide bedroom.

Wow, congrats...I'm a bit envious, where abouts are you staying? Are you camping on the NW Coast somewhere? Have you towed it very far? How does it handle...more info please

Towing was only about 15 miles..(lol)..it was smooth..we full time at Horn Rapids RV Resort, Richland,WA. Just started new job, so no time for vacationing. Gave up 5 weeks..oh well..better than no job, as old job closed it doors. Still feels like camping everyday..

Congrats in your purchase and you wishing many happy camping trips.

We lived in Pasco, WA from 1976 to 1981. I worked at FFTF, HGP and Hanford Unit 2. I looked at the area via google earth - WOW what a change.
I worked with an "old timer" that moved to the area when Richland was built by the government to support all of the reactors being built and operated along the Columbia River.
I do miss the hunting and fishing in the area.

We're thinking about buying the Jefferson too. Please keep us up to date with how your doing with it. I wish you lots of luck. I know this can be a frightening time with such a big purchase. So best of luck to you and I look forward to hearing about your shakedown of this new rig.
Stay safe ...Rimrider

Congrats on your new unit! Would love to hear how you like having 2 awnings and what they're like - especially in rainy weather.

We been living in our Jefferson almost two months now. The minus was the microwave never working. Having to replace it myself. If you want it fixed, do it yourself. Blue Dog RV dragged their tail. Not sure why no heat coming thru vent in bedroom. Going to install a electric fire place there later to fix that. I did purchase a new Hoover Nano vacuum cleaner. Couldn"t believe the sawdust that came up from the carpet. I guess every thing else is up to par. The dual fridges are working out great. We are parked on a sandy/gravel lot. Needing to level out every couple weeks. The floors have some nasty sqeeking in them. I level it out, they kinda go away. We love the double slide bedroom. Nice and quit inside. You don't hear the diesel trucks driving around as bad. The airride hitch was nice.
I guess you can't take it for granted the everything is going to work. There's not a whole of nice 5th wheel out there too look at. Being ex Alfa owners (2), Crossroads quality of workman ship is up there. Yes I would buy again. Just can't take RV walk thru person word, that the microwave works. I also had a mirror installed in the bathroom towel cabinet on the inside. Keeping my DW happy.
New Moen shower head

Mirror in installed on back of bathroom cabinet door.

Heat vent not attached correctly. No heat in bedroom.

Well finally got a few pics loaded onto Photobucket. The wind is gusting around 20 to 30 mph today. The 6 point system is doing it job, very very little rocking. Sweet. With all the bugs worked out, we are happy fulltime campers. Just wanted to share a few minor upgrades with the Crossroads family.

And enjoy the rest of our pics, diesel truck party, Yellowstone Park, Ennis RV Park.

Ordering a window awning for large window behind the couch today. It faces south where were park. Should cut the air conditioner bill. To bad they don't come from the factory already installed.

The window awning will be a good investment. I think you will be happy you got it. That high desert country you're in can really get hot!!

I see by your pics in previous post, you've had to perform a little remodeling and repair on your rig.
It's a nice looking unit.

Summer is here , full blast 96° . The double awnings doing their job. Keeping the sun off the windows. Still waiting on the window awning addition. Both air conditioners working great. Keeping it nice and cool inside.76°. Enjoying our new home. Dual fridges working great. Keeping the lemon pie nice and cold. Its just to hot to fast.

Congrats, We have a new Jefferson as well, we picked ours up in Feb. and it has been nothing but a lemon. Both of the a/c freeze up all the time, we keep them on high like they said but it hasnt mattered
The tv lift doesn't work, the microwave didn't work. and now we have the worst sewer gas smell in the camper, it is real bad under the island. I am real disappointed with this new camper,my last camper we had for 7 years and never touched it .
