We don't have the instructions for programming the keypad at the entrance and don't know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Needless to say our walk through when we bought it wasn't the best.

Not sure what one you have but this is the one I have. http://manuals.heartlandowners.org/Exterior/Doors/Southco/Southco_Keyless_Entry_Instructions_EA-R03.pdf
The battery in mine was dead on arrival. I've found that my battery will only last about a month.

This is the one we have. Is is worth replacing the battery every month? Ours was dead when we received the unit. </span>

Those tiny screws on the back cover are a pain to mess with. I've lost half of them, makes it quicker to replace the battery. I don't have the pad stuck to the side of the camper anymore either. We leave it lay on a table or put it in the storage compartment. It is handy and quick so I figure it's worth all the battery changes.
