I bought my Rushmore in Nov 2012. The last 6 months I have developed a water leak at the slideout between the bed and closet. If I am totally levelit leaks when it rains. If I am out of level on that side it does not leak. Out of level is not good. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to fix the problem? Also the striker on the stove quit working. Can that be replaced or does it need to go to a dealer to repair? Other than that we have enjoyed the trailer and live in it full time.

Do you have the schwintek bedroom slide that has the gear rails on the outside top and bottom of each side of the slide? If so, there have been other posts about people putting a drop of caulking near each gear rail near the the seals when the slide is extended. Don't know all the details, but a search of the forum, or perhaps checking on Lipperts site might give you some better answers.

It's a common issue with those slides, the RTV goes ontop of each of the four rails between the inner and outer seal. Also, inspect the seals themselves I've seen them cut short creating a gap at the corners.

Does anyone know what temp to keep the thermostat set on to keep the bedroom the coldest. Our thermostat is a dual one for both airs as well as the furnace. We are just having a problem keeping the bedroom cold. It seems to cycle on and off too much.

Do we need to keep the bedroom lower or the living area lower.

Put the fan on Hi. Take off auto. It will run full time. Yes ours is cold in the bedroom. Also I stuffed some foil insulation at end of the duct work to force the air out. Works nice.

We have ours running 24-7 on Hi. Also been eyeing up that sensor on the wall. Thinking about getting some of that sticky back felt and cutting to cover it. Thinking it might not be so sensitive then.

Thanks for the advice Ramn4ver. We keep ours on Hi also.
We enjoy the noise at night. I have wondered about
That sensor. Did you try and did it help?

Dan, what exactly did you use to cover it? I might want to give that a try.

Thanks,
Robert

Robert. I used black electrical tape as a temporary cover.
I am looking for a permanent fix now since it seems to work
properly. Good luck
