On our 38CK, the plan is to grind out the crack, then stick a thin black flat aluminum strip from the slide out trim to the molding around the bottom. This is what my service guy said Crossroads advised to do.

There was a plastic strip at the beginning but the excssive play was too much so I use a piece of epdm rubber glued half an inch all around so the middle cag n stretch. OK for now . MY Dometic fridge died yesterday with a tell tale yellow powder under the burner. Bad sign . Turned it upside down for 24 hrs just to be sure before spending 3000 $ can. for a new one . will see tomorrow if it cools but the hope is down for the moment. Good luck with your repair.

If you don't dry camp, you might want to look at a Samsung residential......less than $1000.

Dometic Recall

Dometic had a recall on some units.
I had good results with remanufactured cooling units at about half the cost of a new unit.
