IMO the Rushmore desperately needs an option for a 12 cubic foot or larger refrigerator. That is an option on many if not most Montanas, and is something I will insist on for part-timing when I retire. 8 cubic feet is fine for vacation use, but not for months on the road at a time.

We are really not pleased that the Kingston line is gone....we wish they would have continued with a higher end bunk unit. Sorry to see it go.

The models on the right are the old Kingston line, they have not updated it as of yet. The prefix KF means Kingston Fifth. You had me thinking!!!

I noticed that the smallest Rushmore is 36' overall, which is the same as the Seville. So if you want smaller, all you have is the Cruiser now that the Kingston is gone.

Went to an rv show in Tampa Fl Saw the Rushmore 5er Nice rv but in my wifes eyes the Redwood is twice the camper. The Red wood was a little less money.

cwit,

That is interesting, thanks. Could you give us some real numbers so we can get an idea of the price positioning of Redwoods and Rushmores?

One thing I noticed about Rushmores from the Crossroads website is that the 40" TV is mandatory. Some buyers might prefer a smaller television so the extra space can be used for a computer nook, as on the Cruisers.

I think I made a mistake the Redwood was 64,000 on sale for and the Rushmore was 58,000 dollars. The Redwood just out classed the Rushmore in looks. Quality I believe they were in the same class. Beautiful shower, walk in closet in bedroom, drawers underbed ,a cupboard in kitchen for coffee pot and toaster with it's own outlet. Dividers in cupboard for separations. I guess you can tell we fell for the redwood.

Thanks, Cwit. I intend to buy a Cruiser for vacations and, if we don't keep it when we retire in 6-7 years, upgrade a bit.

I agree with CWIT, I saw theRedwood at the Ft Worth RV Show and it was very impressive. The rep did say some new floorplans are in the works and the next one outwill be in the 36' range. One other interesting item, I had met this rep before when he was a rep for Carriage. I had heard several upper management people from Carriagecameover to Thor tohelp start Redwood.
