Obviously I'm a newbeee to the camper world and have a lot of questions:

Hopefully I don't get too annoying....

I have the normal battery installed but also have a second battery for a car that I bought new that I never used. I plan on getting a new case for it and installing it to the left of the one already there and making a quick connector so I can move the cable over if I run low while not connected to the tow vehicle or electric, has anyone done this and did you wire it so both batteries will provide higher run time and better amperage or because the charger and built in trickle charger should only be charging one battery do you just swing the cable over?

a regular car battery won't last like a deep cycle , but will help out if needed. Don't hook them up together as they have different properties and strength, and the weaker one will drain the other.
. try something like what I did. just an idea for you . there will be more and maybe some easier ones.

That was my thought as I am aware of the properties of the batteries and I may just rig up an automatic relay that will switch over to the car battery when the deep cycle has exhausted itself. At some point I will get another deep cycle and match them so it will work they way I want but I was looking for anyone who had done it in case there are connectors and accessories that I can buy.

Thanks for replying so quickly!

Ken,
Welcome aboard...and the only annoying thing you could do is type in all CAPS! LOL The thing to learn on here I have found...is to learn to search...many people don't do that and end up asking for answers to something that has already been asked. Units change from year-to-year...but the basics do not.

Enjoy your new unit and be safe.

Travel well,
Jim
