Confused

Hi people. I am a newbie on my 2012 Z-1/ ZT-291-RL just bought this year. Now I am 60 miles away from my campsite I have to change the gray water gate valve and my black water gate valve and I want to know what sizes to get for both. I hate to go all that way and have the wrong parts. I would appreciate any help from anyone here. I really like this site and planning to read more when time permits. Thank you

If you have separate valves for the black and grey, then you more than likely need a 3 in. for the black, and a 1 1/2 in. for the grey.

Lloyd,.........you are a gentleman and a scholar. That is what I came up with but I also read that it could be 2" for the gray water. Thanks again

Are you buying the valves from a RV store. or dealer, or on the internet...If at a store, or dealer, I would buy all three sizes then after the repair return the one I didn't use...

Oh course if you buy at dealer or store they may hit you with a restock charge when You bring one back...It all ends up being your convenience vs. cost...

Confused

My black water and both my Grey waters dump into a single exit point which is 3". A simple ruler or measuring tape would take away all the guess work.

Yeah, I realize that the black water and gray water dump into one. I wanted to know what size (3")the black water tank gate valve is and my gray water is (1.5"). Anyway, I got the right parts and it went very well. Thank you all.

Good Job! It's a little disconcerting, but, the job is pretty easy, and a great comfort when done. As you now know!
