After 10+ months of Waiting!
I finally took delivery of my new Chevrolet Silverado HD3500. The salesman told me it is because I wanted a double cab non-4X4 with the Duramax and they just don't make those. Add to that the strike late last year and the shutdown of both GM plants and their parts providers and a truck I should have had in time for my birthday in early February has takes 10 months to get here. But I finally have it and can't wait to try it out towing my Zinger!

I told my mom (yeah I am 4 months to 64 so I thank my stars every day she is still with us) after this long the excitement in getting it is long gone, I am just glad it finally got here! What a PITB!
The salesman, who is also a friend, said it was the longest he has ever seen one take from order to delivery.

Congrats on thw new pickup.
Getting exactly what you want is sometimes worth the wait. Most would have settled for something else to get it quicker. Hope she gives you many years of faithful service.

Max with single tires is 4500lbs and 20000 towing, while the daully is 7000 and 35500 gooseneck or fifth wheel towing.

Looks great. I got a 2020 just like it and same color. Except, mine is a GMC 4x4. I had the same trouble finding a non 4x4, so I went ahead and paid the price and got the 4x4 the dealer had on the lot. This thing pulls great, you will not even know you have a trailer back there.

Dealer said they are now only putting the Duramax in 4X4s. I am waiting for it to hit 500 miles before I tow but, it feels like it will definitely be a pulling champ. The books says to wait that long; however, it also says don't go over 55 for the first 500 miles. Oppps. Already had before I read that...

That is a beautiful truck, real nice colour too. Post when you get to pull with it, bet it’s a awesome tow unit! Nice to be able to order exactly what you want and get it.

Nice truck! I won't show those pics to my wife -- she's kinda partial to that color and it's cause some 'unplanned' purchases in the past  And, she knows I'm gonna replace my truck in the not too distant future.
