EBC makes brakes for all automotive applications including race cars. They list their brakes by color. Here is a short list of applications. Here is their website: http://ebcbrakes.com/products/automotive/
Truck, 4x4 and SUV modest brake upgrade. Greenstuff 6000 Series GD Series
Truck, 4x4 and SUV maximum stopping for towing and loads etc. Yellowstuff GD Series
Truck, Jeep and SUV high brake efficiency, longer life and heat threshold Extra Duty Orange Pads GD Series
Truck, 4x4 and SUV modest brake upgrade with lowest dust. Greenstuff 7000 Series GD Series
Light Truck, Jeep and SUV Heavy Duty Use New Extra Duty Orange Grade Disc Pads GD Series
GD Series refers to rotors.
They recommend that both front and rear use the same pads.
They are supposed be a top of the line brake pad.

Are you having any problems with your OEM brakes?

No problems with the OEM brakes, but thought this would be a good upgrade.

This is not a fix; it's an upgrade. That's why you have a Lariat, not a XL.

I have a Lariat because that's what the dealer had but it's immaterial as either XL or Lariat is a Ford change. I don't feel the need to upgrade my brakes as they match my truck and trailer.

I've used them for years on cars trucks and race cars. They used to get a but noisy but the recent ones haven't had any problem heating up. I've been 100% happy with the additional pad feel, fade resistance and lack of dust.

First, Ford offers 3 different quality brake pads when you go to a Ford garage for replacement. (all Ford products)
Second, knowing that you tow a RV, I can't believe anyone would replace their brakes with OEM brakes that came with the truck. That doesn't make sense to me (and I'm sure others)
Third, EBC offers different quality of brake pads also. Just like Ford does.
And finally, why would you spend thousands of dollars more for a Lariat than a XL. I'm sure your dealer, like mine, could have got you that plain Jane XL if you wanted him to. But you decided to "upgrade" to the Lariat. And I would have done the same thing.
Here's your 2 cents back.
(just kidding; I'll keep your 2 cents)

Wasn't any "decided to upgrade". The Lariat was there and had a closeout price. 2009 model bought in Jul 2010, you figure it up. When I signed the papers and it was a used truck the trade-in value was over $1k more than I paid. Go figure. Before you say BS the dealer was ready to trade for an in stock 2010 or ordering a 2011. I never have figured that out and the dealer didn't understand it either but Ford said sell it for this and paid him well????

Hey, I'm only bustin on ya. Just having some fun on another cold night. Remember, you're down there in warm temps and I'm up here freezing my buns off. Your opinion is valid.
