If the payload numbers are what You say they are, DONT DO IT! You’ll regret not having the extra payload a few years from now.

I hope no one gets into an accident if they exceed any of the weight numbers on their pickup while towing. Your insurance company will not pay any bills due to your negligence.


When I bought my trailer, my insurance company asked me what I would be towing it with. They told me to wait a few minutes while they looked up the information on my pickup. They came back and said I was good to go and covered.


Yes, ALL the new pickups are better than the old ones. More HP/Torque etc. Please remember that there is a reason for 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton pickups. Towing big trailers with a 1/2 ton is all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
