Wow!! I notice two things in the pic.
It's big!! Looks like it's running pretty close to the bed on your truck?

Pictures can sure be deceiving. Looks way closer then that.
On a lighter note---Are there any parks up there that thing will fit into?

I have been wondering what would be the difference between having a truck with an overload spring on it right from the factory, or installing it yourself after you purchased it? Also what would be the difference between having that overload spring verses putting on a set of air bags?
Wouldn't this all be accomplishing the same thing?
Seems like the 250 and the 350 are basically the same truck but with a few factory add on to change the carrying capacity.

A good example to all of this would be the camper special package.

Bump

Probably the biggest difference is the little sticker on the door frame.

Ok. I will bite one more time, Lloyd.
Yes, one of the biggest differences in the two is the door sticker and the next big difference is the 4" block (if F250 equipped with overloads already), the third is the emblem on the side of the truck....but the single biggest reason for the difference on the door sticker has to do with cost of commercial registration and insurance that hits you harder for being over 10,000lbs GVWR. The F250 stays under it and the F350 goes over it. This is the single biggest reason for the massive variance in payloads.

Let the caning begin!!

Well, good. We can now let this discussion, and thread rest in peace. We know the op will have a safe truck to tow his Rushmore.
The weight police can sit back and relax now.
Ya know, I have seen more weight police here on the forum then I did in all my years on the road, and I've had a CDL (use to be called a chauffeurs) in my billfold for many years.
