I'm going to permanently mount two small levels to the 5er to make leveling easier. I have the levels but I'm not sure exactly where to mount them. It would seem that the front-to-back level should be in or near the basement access to the power front jacks, Yes or No??? Where is the best place for the side-to-side level? I'm thinking either the front or rear of the 5er since you want to level side-to-side before detaching. I'd like to know what others have done.

Thanks,

Gary, I mounted mine to the hitch pin box. I wanted to see side to side from the truck mirror and the front to back level is easy enough to see when using the switch or remote. I also did not want to drill holes in the siding. They are not the most convenient locations but it works form me.

You can buy a big level on your king pin that you can see from the front seat. Front to back I put on the front side next to location for levaling switch. I also put a small leval on leftside of king pin to let me know when my 5er is at hitch height.

I have the little inexpensive self stick levels. The front to back level is mounted next to the data sticker on the curb side just above the trim. The side to side is mounted by above the front jack power strip.

They cost less $5 and have been hold tight now for over 3 years

Don't have a 5th wheel, but I also use the little stick on levels on the side of the trailer and i use an old 2-foot level from home on the back bumper and front tongue to check those areas....

I had the dealer mount one of those BIG bubble levels on the pin box when I bought it.. Easy to see from the driver seat, my DW manages the leveling boards. I carry a 2' level in the side compartment where the jack controls are. I sit it on the inner lip of the door frame, front to back. It's right there when I'm lowering the jacks.

Of course if I ever figure out this Intellijack system again I will only have to worry about side to side.
