Hitch height

Good afternoon. First post and it has to be a rather silly question...

The wife and I bought a Zinger 27RL last fall and have some sway issues. I currently have a 1,200/12,000 WD hitch with friction sway controls on both sides. I'm getting ready to disassemble my WD hitch to ensure it is set to the right height for the Zinger. My problem is that I do not have a level spot to determine the level hitch height. Does anyone happen to know what it is?

If you don't have a level spot measure the frame to ground distance at the axle then check the coupler to frame measurement and add that to the first measurement. I believe some WD hitches recommend adding a 1/2-3/4" to the measurement for the proper ball height. Hope this helps.

Went and checked - the top of the coupler is about even with the top of the A frame it's mounted on. The A frame is mounted directly under the main trailer frame, so the measurement between the frame at the axles should be pretty close to the hitch height. In this case about 23". That makes my WD hitch is about 2 inches too low...

Glad that it worked out for you.
