New Pin Box

I have a 2014 Crossroads Cruiser 35SS fifth wheel. It has a Trail Air Rotoflex pinbox, but the chucking and bumping is still pretty strong with my F-250. I'm considering a Trail Air pin box with the air bag and shock to improve the towing experience. But, there are many models of the pin box. How do you figure out which is the right fit? By the fit of the bolt pattern? I.E: Lippert 1621?

What's the difference between the regular TrailAir and the Triglide TrailAir?

Cross reference the Lipppert number, When I replace the pin box with a Demco Glide rite 7 years ago that is what they needed to send the proper pin

X2 on the MorRyde. Made a world of difference when I changed out the Lippert 1621 Long Style Roto-Flex pin box that came on our trailer. I expect that your pin box is also the Lippert 1621 Long Style.

What is your pin weight percentage?

Low pin weight number one cause of chucking.

Installed a TriGlide on my 34SS and it was well worth the money. TriGlide uses cam shaped pins to create pendulum effect. When combined with the air bags, it dramatically inproves bucking and overall towing experience. I have a 3500 SWB SRW crew cab pickup and it would roll my shirt up behind my back in minutes before the install. TriGlide stopped that and virtually eliminated the dreaded bridge bouncing hinge effect... If you install yourself, do NOT attempt this without a stable hydraulic lift / platform. I used a front end loader because it was available at the time, point is this thing is heavy. Also want to read the instructions VERY carefully to assure that you install the box in the correct bolt holes. Had to install, remove and re-install before I finally got it right. The rig needs to be as level as possible when you tow so as to evenly distribute rig weight over the axles. Love the hitch, grease the cam pins as the manufacturer suggests...
