New truck. Pulled the trigger!

WELLLLL, I sold my 2009 Chevrolet 2500hd today and I put a down payment on a new 2020 Chevrolet 2500HD Custom. 6.6. Gas engine. 36 gallon fuel tank. Take delivery in two weeks. Comes with the goose neck/fifth wheel prep package.

Congratulations! I'm also interested in how it does. What engine did you have in the old Silverado?

You'll be able to make a good comparison.

Take possession of the truck tomorrow. I have lots to do. Have the bed sprayed by Linex. Install the brake controller inside the rear side bed. Install a front hitch receiver (for kayak rack and fishing cart). Install my front bed toolbox. Install the fifth wheel adapter into the factory puck system. And put all my crap into the new truck. Then once the parts come in for my 5er I have to replace the brake assemblies and repack and replace seals on The rotors; put everything back together and adjust trailer brakes. Then I can install my fifth wheel hitch and get the 5er leveled up on the truck. If I measured correctly the rear top bed rail on the 2020 truck is 1” higher then on the 2009.

Wow. Sounds great. I’ll be curious how much better it handles. Keep us posted. My 2005 works great but I do wonder how much nicer it would be to have more than four gears.

I ordered an HD3500 with the Duramax in December since I want the extended cab long bed and I am still waiting for them to start construction! I am not a happy camper about that! For some reason they don't seem to want to make long beds anymore. So please let me know how well it runs!
