First of all, it looks like they copied a Ford. It can tow 12200 but only has a payload capacity of 2000 lbs, the Ford can haul up to 3000lbs, the chevy 1820 lbs and the Ram 1930 lbs.
Make up you mind from there.

Had a Nissan company rep go to our church a few years back & Nissan furnished all their reps with an Armada & few months later took them away & said fuel expenses were too high, rep said at best it got 12mpg. Some with a lot of guys buying Tundras to work out of & once loaded down got worse mileage than Ford's. So in my opinion the auto makers are wising up & offering diesels, more power & better mileage, well until VW tried to cheat, now all the diesel folks will suffer.
I have test driven the new Titan XD with the Cummins, and I was impressed by it. I am pretty sure I will be trading in my current Titan for one of the new Diesels when I get my next quarterly bonus from work in early summer.

How does the 33BD tow for you? That's a long trailer! Any issues with sway on your 1/2 ton?
No issues at all. We have used it for several trips of 300+ miles each way, and have even towed through a couple huge thunderstorms with strong winds and the trailer stayed right in line and towed really well.
We are using a Centerline TS WD hitch that I think is helping quite a bit.
