Nice truck...does she run quietly? My DW says my Ford is noisy...and smelly...diesel is not her favorite perfume I guess...

Thanks, I love it! It is really quiet, I made the comment that it didn't even sound like a diesel... although that exhaust brake sure sounds nice. It doesn't stink either. Oh and I don't have to warm the glow plugs to start like I did in my old diesel but I do have to put definitely in it with oil changes.

Might need a dually for that one Mark but this one might be able to pull the house off the foundation.

Nice truck, congrats. The oil changes are really messy. I used to do mine myself but diesel oil is NASTY! I now have it done.

Very nice truck. I'm guessing you meant add DEF above. You will likely need it more often than at oil changes and plan to add more yet when towing. That's when it really burns through the stuff. I used to take a couple extra jugs with me before I deleted my DPF, EGR and DEF tank with a race tuner. No more DEF for me, but mine now sounds and smells like a diesel after that.

Thanks guys. Tommy- I traded the F250. Big red now belongs to Hendrick Chevy in Cary NC. A big shoutout to Trevor who put a on of work into finding this truck for us.... Last 2014 crew cab long bed diesel 4wd in a 500 mi radius. Funny thing is it was actually sitting on a lot near the fall rally site. I guess that's a good omen.

Anybody run diesel kleen thru their Chevy ? Dealorship said I don't need to. I have a brand new bottle from the ford so I might hand that off at the rally if I.can't return it to Walmart

Great looking truck. It seems like your really happy with it. Good luck and we'll check it out at the NE Rally.

Congratulations on that new truck. Those Duramax engines are the best thing Chevy has done in years.

You will love the Dmax. We have a 2013 , 2500 HD. We have made 1 trip to Las Vegas by way of Grand Canyon. We just relocated to Massachusetts. Our Hill Country 32RL dry weight is right at 9,000#. So im thinking its around 10,000 or so. It have no trouble at all doing this, actually its hard to keep it below the speed limit. I get right at 12 mpg.running the speed limit. Empty hwy. about 20mpg. Every day 17 or so. The DEF fluid is not a big deal, the harder you run it and the extended idleing is what causes hiher consumption. It is avalible at all truck stops and almost all auto parts stores. I will top it off before a trip and then pick up a 2.5 gal container as needed. IT HAS A SHELF LIFE so dont store to much. Also I have seen a few of the newer truck stops have it avalible at the pump at a very lower cost than the shelf packaging.
