Pulled the trigger on an Ecoboost

Well I finally pulled the trigger on a new TV.
I am going to try the ecoboost in the 2015 F150.
With my ST22BH it should be a decent puller.

Now I just have to wait the 10-12 weeks for delivery!

Decided on the Crew Cab, Lariet, with the mid level trim package. Upgraded with the max tow package, tow mirrors and the extended range fuel tank.

Congratulations! You should like it.
If you ordered it with the max tow and max payload, It should come with the E rated tires, and extendable tow mirrors.
I wish the Lariat would have been offered when I bought.
I'm curious as to what they are calling an -- extended range fuel tank??

I have been very happy with mine and the way it tows. Our trailers should be pretty close so with that max package you will have no problem at all.

re:extended range fuel tank.

This option is just for a larger 33 gal. tank. Even the dealer can't believe this is not just the standard size in all the trucks. Fords use to be known for larger tanks or dual tanks. Although, even with the extended range, I will still need a pit stop sooner than the tank will run out!

If I'm remembering right, my truck came with a 35 gal. tank.
Pit stops normally come way before the tank needs gas.

I remember when we ordered our 07 f150 w/a heavy duty tow package it came with a 33-34 gal tank. Have run into a few that had a tow but not the hd tow pkg that had around 24-27 gal tanks(Fords) but their tow max was around 7000 &the hd was 9500.
Most of the GM have a 24-27 tank, may have an upgrade now but most get the tool box/fuel tank.
Not sure where the dodge/ram falls.

Actually looking at online specs it indicates 36 gallon but I saw 30 gal somewhere when we bought it (I forget where). Never let it get low enough to figure out by fueling up. Guess I need to look a little deeper into this huh?

I am getting a kick how the conversation morfs into gas tank capacity! Funny? Or is it a sign of winter boredom setting in?
We are getting desperate for topics!

Anyway, I will continue the subject,
I had a standard cab, full size bed ford a few years back that ran dual tanks. I think they were both mid 20's in size. Had the switch to flip between tanks. This was a great feature. Does anyone offer a dual tank set up anymore?

Congrats on the new TV,

I am one of the unfortunate ones..got the smaller tank on my 2011. ..I think its 24 G

Looked at upgrading the tank but it was around 1K with labor.

Yes, I actually had the the unthinkable happen that first summer..missed a gas station exit driving through the W. Va mountains and the next exit station was out of business... had to pull over and hitch ride to get gas. I have the tow package with rear camera and integrated brake controller..why the H - E- double hockey stick they put a 24 G tank on a truck with that equipment is beyond me..I guess they were really reaching for the MPGs that first year.

Now I carry a 5 G filled when we tow.

Probably saw it on a Canadian site...30 imp gals = 36 us gals. But we haven't used gals in many years.??
