Tires
Hi, I am looking for a good idea about tires. I currently have Bf Goodrich Rugged Trail LT 265/70 R17s, but 2 are worn out and so I will replace the back two. Any suggestions for a good all season tow tire? I am pulling a 27ft Maple Country (Canadian version of a Sunset Trail).

Is there a reason you're not sticking with the BF Goodrich tires? Curious because that's what I just installed on my Tundra.

A few of my friends really like the Firestone Transforce AT tires. Good wear and pretty quiet at speeds.

Just replaced the factory original Michelins that had almost 69k on them (probably could've got another 5k, but about to travel a bunch) with another set of Michelins. First tires of any brand to get that kind of mileage out of. Yep, they are pricey, but from my experience they outlasted 2-3 sets of other brands.

I don't read a lot of good reviews on the Rugged Trails. My sidewalls are all cracked after four years and minimal driving. So, just wondering what other people recommend.

My truck came from the factory with Goodyear tires and replaced them with Michelin Defender LTX before I even put 10,000 on them.
The Michelin have a 70,000 mile tread wear warranty, super smooth and quiet ride, and they tend to have higher load and speed indexes than other LT tires.
They are a bit more expensive, but I agree with Texans, they will last as long if not longer, than two sets of some of the other brands.

I'm a Goodyear fan myself. Have been for many years. Never had any problems and I run them on the car, truck, and trailer.

On our fleet vehicles at work we were only allowed to run Goodyear or Firestone, the GY after after a few thousand miles seemed to become square & the FS were always breaking steel belts. I've tried several different brands & second to the Michelins would be Yokohamas, just my .02 cents.

I am getting ready to put Zeon ATP from discount tire on my truck with 55k tread warranty and they have great ratings. Which Michilens are you looking at getting?

My Michelins are 235�85 R17 LTX M2, unfortunately had to buy 6.
