Towing 3 1/2 inches high at pin box

I've owned my 2017 Crossroads Rezerve 28RL for almost a year now. I have a new used truck to tow the 5th wheel. Now my 5th wheel is about 3 1/2 inches high at the pin box when towing. I have already adjusted my Curt hitch to the lowest position.

Has anyone switched the stock 15 inch wheels and tires to 16 inch? My new tow vehicle is a 2016 RAM 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi which is taller than my old 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD.

I know you said you lowered the hitch, but can you raise the pinbox? If you have holes available, that may help.

Thank you, I can move the pin box one setting. I just wanted to keep the distance between the bed of my truck and the trailer.

Hi, I am towing 2015 Cruiser Aire 30 footer with same problem. I put 3/4 inch steel blocks under the springs and LT tires to get an additional inch. Almost level according to tire wear but still less than 5 inches bedrail clearance. Towing with a Dodge 3500 6.4 Hemi (great truck by the way 12 mph gas.) Wore out two tires with the factory set up in just 6,000 miles. Will switch to 16 wheels and tires if this setup doesn't work.

axles

some campers has adjustments at the axles, I have flipped the axles and put them under the springs on a few campers I have had, so that's a possibility to, I own a ram 2500 4x4 with the 6.4 hemi, been very pleased with it so far, it gets almost as good as gas milage as my cummins did, cummins would only do about 15mpg, and the gas burner a lot cheaper to maintain. ive owned my last diesal

Thank you for your reply. The axles are already under the springs and there is no adjustment on the frame.

Thanks, I was thinking about a 1" block and moving to 16" tires.
