Towing capacity

I was pulling my Cruiser305RS with a Ford F250 with no problems.
I had to replace my truck and got a 2021 Ram 2500 4X4 6.7 diesel with a 3.73 rear axle.
I am not good with math and I'm trying to figure my towing capacity with this new truck. The Cruiser GVWR is 12,192.
The Ram GVWR is 10,000lbs with a max weight of 2276lbs. and I figure my GVWR is 9380 which means my cruiser is too heavy??
I hope I am doing something wrong mathematically.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Each truck has its own payload capacity tag in the door opening. Higher end trucks usually have a lower number as they have more options which add weight. The only thing I can see may be an issue is your payload capacity. Find that number and determine your camper pin weight. Not sure of year of your camper but based on specs I found, you may have only 5-600 pounds left in capacity.

I probably have the same trailer as you do. My actual pin weight is about 2200 lbs. Take the trailer and pickup to a scale to check the actual weight. From my experience, the pin weights in literature is about 15% for 5th wheels.

I am told that it should be closer to 20% for proper towing.
For your trailer based on weight given, 12,192.
15% would be about 1829 lbs.
20% would be about 2438 lbs.

Hope this helps

Www.ramtrucks.com. under Capabilities lists 20,000lbs with diesel engine. I have the same truck.
