Slideout Cable Support Broken in Half

I have a 2013 Cruiser 27RLX fifth wheel and there is a plastic band that supports the cabling under the slideout. The band stretches out when the slideout is extended, and folds in half when the slideout is retracted. See picture below.
The band has completely broken at the halfway point, and I could imagine that the cabling will eventually get caught and cut by the slideout gears.

I assume the band can replaced if the part is still available. but has anyone engineering another solution? My on-the-road, duct tape solution didn't last long.

Thanks

My Cruiser has 2 pieces of angle iron bolted together to form a "hinge" and the gas line and electrical wires are attached with Zip ties.

I assume the hinge is fairly light so the band doesn't droop, and the hinge must not rust and seize. Regular application of WD40 would prevent it from seizing.

I created "hinges" on all of mine by drilling holes in the plastic and then using stainless steel zip ties to pull them together so that they will flex when opening and closing the slides.

I did the same thing, drilled some holes on each end and used plastic ties.

Slide cable support

I used self tapping screws and a vinyl shim, this has lasted 3 years.

You can find the replacement at Amazon or RV parts stores.

It bends there so just install a regular door hinge

How would you fix this?

Not sure if the splicing method would work? I tried to attach a photo.

I'm not sure it would either. Looks to me like it's broke in two places.
