I am having issues with my heater. I accidentally ran out the propane, and when I switched it to the new tank the heater will not ignite. I have turned on the stove to make sure the propane was on, and let that run for a few minutes. Heater still will not ignite. What am I missing?

Have you also turned on the hot water heater on gas to purge air that way also. Stupid question but make sure you have propane in the second tank and it’s turned on. Try shutting off the heat and leave off for a few minutes, switching back and back on again I case something didn’t switch.

I have also turned on the water heater and that works fine. The propane in bottle two is full, I filled them at the same time.

Turn off all the gas appliances, close the propane valve, loosen the hose til you hear the small puff of pressure, reconnect the hose & open the valve very slowly til you hear/feel the pressure, now try lighting everything again. The valves on the tanks have a rapid release safety mechanism built in & opening them too quickly will trigger it.
