Here is another reason I don't like these ads...If I do some Christmas shopping on another website, the items are now posted on this site. Kinda hard to keep Christmas secrets when ever the DW gets on the forum to read the posts.

Loyd or Mark, When using the AdBlocker do you see the ads at all?

You are able to turn the Ad Blocker off or on for what ever web site you want to block. All ads are now gone on this forum. Tim, you should update your browser to the newest one available. Google how to update IE. That will help you stay up on all fixes and improvements. If you have any questions. pm me and I'll try to help you.

Using adblocker is like trying to use the do not call list. Frank CU on the other groups, I'm gone from this one.

Stan, I understand your point. The ads will follow you all around the internet. You can turn them off across all sites by setting your ad preferences at the following URL:
http://www.aboutads.info/choices/

You will want to opt-out of all companies in order to prevent that, it's at the way bottom.

What you are referring to is called "Ghosting". The adware can target advertising based on your browsing history that is stored in files called "cookies". You can delete cookies after shopping for DW..

As for malware ads, they primarily come through the 3rd tier ad networks. We really just use top tier networks such as AdSense. I'm not saying a malicous ad can't happen but on our sites we are taking precautions to make sure they don't.
I don't like using 3rd party software like AdBlocker. I also think AdSense is one of the most annoying ad pushers there is. That's why I configure my router to block all traffic from AdSense and the other ad pushers. I was confused when this post first appeared because I've never seen an ad on this site.

I hated having to go on my home computer (instead of my kindle) because the annoying ads chasing me around any internet site I went to. I finally got around to installing adblock plus. So much better. Thanks guys!!!!!
